解説

ナポレオン・ボナパルト軍の敗北と追放により、フランスの短期間の占領の後、ムハンマド・アリー朝によって統治、建国された^[2][3]。

1882年にイギリスは、アングロ＝エジプト戦争（英語版）でエジプトの支配権を獲得し、オスマン帝国の従属国としての支配は終了した。1914年、イギリスは保護国エジプト・スルタン国を設立した。
