William Renshaw ha battuto in finale del torneo preliminare Harry Barlow per 3–6, 5–7, 8–6, 10–8, 8–6, nel Challenge Round ha sconfitto il detentore del titolo Ernest Renshaw per 6–4, 6–1, 3–6, 6–0.^[1][2]
