Distrik drainase Reedy Creek telah didirikan pada tanggal 13 Mei 1966 di bawah lorida State Statutes Chapter 298, yang memberikan kekuasaan termasuk unggulan domain khusus untuk Distrik drainase. Untuk membuat distrik hanya dukungan dari dalam tanah yang diperlukan.[1]
