Aktris Utama Terbaik adalah salah satu penghargaan British Academy Film yang dianugerahkan setiap tahun oleh British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) kepada seorang aktris yang dianggap menampilkan penampilan paling baik yang luar biasa dalam sebuah film.
- Dari tahun 1952 sampai 1967, ada dua penghargaan Aktris Terbaik yang dianugerahkan BAFTA, yakni Aktris Britania Terbaik dan Aktris Asing Terbaik.
- Dari tahun 1968 dan seterusnya, dua penghargaan digabung menjadi satu penghargaan, di mana pada kurun waktu 1968–1984 dikenal sebagai Aktris Terbaik.[1]
- Dari tahun 1985 sampai sekarang, penghargaan tersebut dikenal dengan nama saat ini, yaitu Aktris Utama Terbaik.[2]
