Simone Simons

Simone Simons (nascite in Hoensbroek le 17 de januario 1985) es un nederlandese‎ mezzosoprano^[1] cantatrice le qual es le vocalista principal del ensemble de symphonic metal Epica.

Biographia

Simons ha tenite un interesse per le musica desde que illa habeva dece annos, e depost de ascoltar le album de Nightwish Oceanborn al etate de dece-cinque, illa comenciava a prender lectiones de canto classic. Illa cantava in un choro per un par de menses in 2002, e se univa a Epica pronto depost. Illa esseva previemente in un relation romantic con le guitarista de Epica Mark Jansen e co-scribe le litteras del banda con ille. Illa es actualmente compromittite con Oliver Palotai, clavierista del banda statounitese de power metal Kamelot. Su canto favorite pro musicar es "Reprendo mai più" per Emma Shapplin.^[2]

In januario de 2008, il esseva annunciate in le sito de internet de Epica que Simone suffere de MRSA. Isto ha causate que Epica cancella multos de sus shows. In Februario, su condition meliorava, pero non esseva completemente restabilite. In Martio, Epica faceva tour con Amanda Somerville, que reimplaciava a Simons pro su US tour^[3] usque le 11 de Maio de 2008, quando Simone musicava altere vice in su show in Bibelot, Dordrecht^[3].
