17ª edición dos Óscar

A 17.ª edición dos premios Óscar tivo lugar o día 15 de marzo de 1945 no Grauman’s Chines Theatre dos Ánxeles. Os mestres de cerimonias foron John Cromwell e Bob Hope. A cerimonia de entrega durou setenta minutos e incluíu fragmentos de filmes que requiriron explicacións para a audiencia da radio.^[1]

Esta foi a única edición en que unha persoa foi candidata como mellor actor e mellor actor secundario polo mesmo papel: Barry Fitzgerald como o pai Fitzgibbon en Going My Way. Gañou como secundario.
