Mutsamudu é a segunda cidade máis grande das Comores.[1] É tamén a capital e meirande cidade da illa de Anjouan, así como o fogar do antigo presidente comoriano Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi. Conta cun porto comercial e unha antiga cidadela. A poboación no ano 2010 era de 25 471 persoas.
