Alice Malsenior Walker, nada o 9 de febreiro de 1944 no condado de Putnam, Xeorxia, é unha novelista, poeta e activista política estadounidense. Escribiu a novela The Color Purple (1982), pola que gañou o Premio Nacional do Libro e o Premio Pulitzer de Ficción no ano 1983.[1][2] Tamén é autora de Meridian e The Third Life of Grange Copeland, entre outras obras.
