Chuaigh sí ar aghaidh ansin chun an Ghaeilge a theagasc in Ollscoileanna Dhún Éideann agus Obar Dheathain.[1] Mhúin sí Gaeilge na hAlban freisin in Ollscoil Dhún Éideann agus ba Léachtóir Sinsearach Oinigh í in Ollscoil Chill Rìmhinn]].[2]

Foilsíodh an tríú bailiúchán aici, Soirbheas, sa bhliain 2007, agus an ceathrú ceann, Transparencies, sa bhliain 2013.
Sa bhliain 2011, tháinig an chéad ghearrscéal a d'fhoilsigh Bateman i nGaeilge na hAlban amach, dar teideal Chanadh gun d'chur i às dha, sa bhailiúchán gearrscéalta Saorsa a d'fhoilsigh CLÀR.[5]
