La femelle holotype mesure 2,64 mm et le mâle 2,18 mm[2]
Cette espèce a été décrite par Platnick, Shadab et Sorkin en 2005.
Son nom d'espèce lui a été donné en référence au lieu de sa découverte, Quebrada del Chivato.
