La circonscription comprenait une région du sud d'Ottawa.
Les circonscriptions limitrophes étaient Ottawa-Ouest—Nepean, Ottawa-Sud, Ottawa—Orléans, Glengarry—Prescott—Russell, Stormont—Dundas—South Glengarry, Leeds—Grenville, Lanark—Frontenac—Lennox and Addington et Carleton—Mississippi Mills.

La circonscription de Nepean—Carleton a été créée en 1976 avec des parties de Grenville—Carleton et d'Ottawa—Carleton. La circonscription fut recréée en 1996 avec des parties de Nepean, Carleton—Gloucester, Lanark—Carleton et Ottawa-Sud.
