Timo Aleksander Laine (s. 5. heinäkuuta 1934 Turku) on suomalainen moottoripyöräilijä.[1] Hän voitti maaradan Euroopan-mestaruuden vuonna 1961 ja hänestä tuli näin ensimmäinen suomalainen moottoripyöräilyn Euroopan-mestari.[1][2][3]
Laine nousi maarata-ajossa kansalliselle huipulle 1950-luvun puolivälissä ja voitti vuonna 1959 Pohjoismaiden-mestaruuskilpailuissa joukkuemestaruuden sekä saavutti henkilökohtaisessa kilpailussa hopeaa. Henkilökohtaisen Pohjoismaiden-mestaruuden hän voitti vuosina 1964–1966.[1] Henkilökohtaisen Suomen-mestaruuden hän voitti vuosina 1962–1965, 1967–1968 ja 1972.[4]
Maaradan EM-kilpailuissa Oslossa 1961 Laine voitti mestaruuden niukasti ennen speedwayn maailmanmestaria, ruotsalaista Ove Fundinia. Vuonna 1962 Laine sijoittui EM-kisassa pronssille, vuonna 1963 neljänneksi, vuonna 1965 hopealle, vuonna 1967 viidenneksi sekä vuosina 1968 ja 1969 neljänneksi.[1]
Speedwayssä Laine voitti henkilökohtaisen Suomen-mestaruuden vuosina 1961–1963.[1][5]
Laine valittiin vuoden 1961 toiseksi parhaaksi suomalaisurheilijaksi Urheilutoimittajain Liiton Vuoden urheilija -äänestyksessä ampumahiihtäjä Kalevi Huuskosen jälkeen.[1][6] Urheilutoimittajat valitsivat Laineen myös vuoden parhaaksi moottoriurheilijaksi vuonna 1961 sekä autoilu- ja moottoripyöräilyvalintojen eriydyttyä vuoden moottoripyöräilijäksi vuosina 1963–1965.[7]
Laine edusti seuratasolla Turun Moottoriseuraa ja Turun Moottorikerhoa, ja hän oli Kakskerran Erän perustajajäsen.[1]
