Sfingolipidit ovat eläinten solukalvoilla ja munanruskuaisessa esiintyviä lipideitä, jotka sisältävät sfingosiinia (C18H37NO2). Sfingolipideitä ovat muun muassa sfingomyeliinit, gangliosidit, serebrosidit ja keramidit.[1]
Sfingolipidit löydettiin 1870-luvulla ja nimettiin mytologisen Sfinksin mukaan.
