Joensuun Popmuusikot ry on joensuulainen rockmusiikkiväen järjestö. Se perustettiin 1971 tukemaan paikallista musiikkielämää, parantamaan musiikinharrastajien harjoittelumahdollisuuksia ja tuomaan kaupunkiin livemusiikkia.
Yhdistys jakaa apurahoja paikallisille yhtyeille ja järjestää matkoja suomalaisille festivaaleille ja yksittäisille keikoille.
Popmuusikot ry:n heinäkuussa järjestämä Ilosaarirock on yksi Suomen suurimmista rockfestivaaleista ja yksi yhdistyksen toiminnan kulmakivi. Yhdistys järjestää myös Rokumentti Rock Film Festival -elokuvafestivaalia marraskuussa. Sillä on toimintaa kulttuurikeskus Karjalantalossa ja Ravintola Kerubissa. Yhdistys järjestää klubeja, konsertteja, konserttimatkoja ja bändivaihtoa sekä koulutusta kotimaisten ja kansainvälisten tekijöiden kanssa. Lisäksi yhdistyksen rahasto jakaa apurahoja kolmesti vuodessa paikallisille bändeille ja musiikkitoimijoille.[1]
Joensuun Popmuusikoiden perustama Joensuun Töminä osakeyhtiö päätti huhtikuussa 2010 vuokrata Karjalaisen Kulttuurin Edistämissäätiöltä Ilosaaressa sijaitsevan Karjalantalon. Uusi yhtiö aloittaa vuoden 2011 alussa koko talon laajuisen rytmimusiikin keskuksen, Kulttuurikeskus Karjalantalon toiminnan. Keskus sisältää Pohjois-Karjalan ammattikorkeakoulun pop-jazz- ja kansanmusiikin opetuksen ja popmuusikoiden klubi- ja ravintolatoiminnan.
Aiemmin Popmuusikot suunnitteli keskuksen rakentamista Joensuun taidemuseon kortteliin.
