Andrei Platonovitš Platonov (ven. Андрéй Плато́нович Плато́нов), oik. Andrei Klimentov, (ven. Андрей Климентов); salanimiä F. Tšelovekov[1] ja A. Firsov[1]; ( 28. elokuuta (J: 16. elokuuta)[lähde? ] 1899 Voronež, Venäjän keisarikunta[1] – 5. tammikuuta[lähde? ] 1951 Moskova, Neuvostoliitto[1]) oli neuvostovenäläinen kirjailija.[1]

Platonov kuului ensimmäisiin kirjailijoihin, jotka tulivat esiin vuoden 1917 vallankumouksen jälkeen. Huolimatta kommunistitaustastaan hän suhtautui epäilevästi kollektivisointiin ja stalinistien toimintatapoihin. Hänen tunnetuimpiin teoksiinsa kuuluu dystopiaa kuvaava romaani Tševengur (1929, 1972).[lähde? ]
Platonova joutui epäsuosioon 1929 ilmestyneen kertomuksen "Usomnivšijsja Makar" vuoksi. Tševengur kiellettiin, mutta se julkaistiin vuonna 1972 lännessä ja vasta 1988 Neuvostoliitossa. Samoin kävi pienoisromaaneille Monttu ja Juveniilimeri. Hän julkaisi salanimillä esseitä läntisistä kirjailijoista. Hänen nimensä poistettiin 1946 kommunistipuolueen määräyksestä neuvostokirjallisuudesta. Nimi palautettiin Stalinin kuoltua.[1]
