Lady Chatterleyn rakastaja (engl. Lady Chatterley's Lover) on englantilaisen kirjailija D. H. Lawrencen romaani vuodelta 1928. Teos julkaistiin alun perin Italiassa Britannian sensuurikiellon vuoksi ja romaani julkaistiin kirjailijan kotimaassa vasta vuonna 1960. Romaani ilmestyi ensimmäisen kerran suomeksi vuonna 1950 Olli Nuorton "siistittynä" suomennoksena nimellä Lady Chatterley sekä Pohjolan kirjan julkaisemana samana vuonna nimellä Lady Chatterley ja hänen rakastajansa, jossa oli Jorma Partasen suomennos.[1]

Kirjassa Sir Clifford Chatterley asettuu sodassa halvaantuneena sukutilalleen Keski-Englantiin. Hänen vaimonsa Constance Chatterley kyllästyy laskelmoivaan ja kylmään mieheensä ja hankkii itselleen rakastajaksi karskin riistanvartija Mellorsin.
D. H. Lawrence vihasi maailman valloittanutta teollista konekulttuuria ja arvosti sen sijaan luontoa ja luonnonmukaista elämää. Niinpä hän teki Lady Chatterleyn halvaantuneesta kartanonherrasta syvästi inhoamansa liikemiehen ja kaivoksen omistajan ja sen sijaan valitsi naisellisen Connien ja miehekkään riistanvartija Mellorsin lemmenhetkien tapahtumapaikaksi kukkia tulvivan metsän.[2] Romaanissa näkyy realismin ja naturalismin perintö, sillä kerronta kuvaa tarkasti fyysistä ympäristöä. Lawrencen teksti on paikoin myös runollista ja symbolista.[3]
Lawrence sai kovaa kritiikkiä aikalaisiltaan kirjoitustensa siveettömyydestä, vaikka nykynäkökulmasta Lawrencen teoksissa on vain vähän seksuaalista sisältöä.[3] Toisaalta Lawrence on saanut kritiikkiä osalta feministeistä hänen tavastaan kuvata naisten seksuaalisuutta.[lähde? ]
