Akerselven on Oslon läpi virtaava vajaan kymmenen kilometrin pituinen joki Norjassa. Akerselven saa alkunsa Maridalsvannet-järvestä ja virtaa läpi Nordre Akerin, Sagenen, Grünerløkkan ja Oslon keskustan ja laskee Bjørvikaan.[1]
Aiemmin monet teollisuuslaitokset käyttivät hyödykseen joen virtausta ja jopa 149 metrin korkeuseroa.[2] Nykyään joenvarren alueet ovat modernien sisällöntuotantoyritysten kansoittamia. Esimerkiksi Sagenessa on Norjan yleisradion toimitiloja.
Joen ranta on pääosin puistojen ympäröimä ja sen vartta pitkin kulkevat polut ovat suosittua ulkoilualuetta. Vuonna 2011 kaupungin vedenpuhdistamosta vuoti jokeen 6000 litraa klooria, minkä seurauksena sen kaikki kalat kuolivat. Jokeen istutettiin satojatuhansia kalanpoikasia ja vuonna 2015 vapaa-ajankalastus sallittiin jälleen.[2]
Akerselvan nimi oli aiemmin Frysja, jonka oletetaan juontuvan kuohuamista tarkoittavasta verbistä "fruse".[2]
