Istingor edo mingor eskolopazidoen familiako 25 hegazti inguruen izen arrunta da, hiru generotan banaturik daudenak. Oso preziatuak dira ehizarako, batez ere bere zailtasunagatik. Izan ere, ingelesezko bere izena snipe frankotiratzaileak (sniper) izendatzeko erabili zuten.[1]
