Stephanie Ann Hsu (chino simplificado: 许玮伦, chino tradicional: 許瑋倫, pinyin: Xǔ Wěilún; Torrance, California, 25 de noviembre de 1990) es una actriz estadounidense de ascendencia china.

Ella interpretó los papeles teatrales de Christine Canigula en Be More Chill y el de Karen en The SpongeBob Musical, actuando en las funciones de Broadway de ambos. Hsu fue hija de madre soltera, nacida en Torrance, California.[1] Su abuela materna se había ido de China continental a Taiwán y envió a la madre de Hsu a los Estados Unidos cuando era adolescente por razones educativas.[2] Hsu asistió a la Escuela Palos Verdes Peninsula High School.[3] Se mudó a Brooklyn para dedicarse al teatro y se graduó de la Escuela de Artes Tisch de Nueva York en 2012.[4] También se formó con la Atlantic Theatre Company.
Hsu comenzó su carrera en el teatro experimental y la comedia. De 2013 a 2015, Hsu hizo apariciones regulares en la serie de comedia de telerrealidad Girl Code de MTV.[5][6] Consiguió su primer papel televisivo recurrente como Joy Armstrong en la serie de Hulu, The Path.[7]
Hsu fue llamada para la primera lectura de mesa de The SpongeBob Musical en 2012 para leer el papel de Karen, la computadora antropomórfica.[4] Continuaría interpretando al personaje en el escenario de Chicago en 2016 antes de hacer su debut en Broadway en 2017.
Mientras tanto, Hsu originó el personaje principal de Christine Canigula en la primera presentación de Be More Chill en el teatro regional Two River en Red Bank, Nueva Jersey. Repetiría el papel en su carrera fuera de Broadway en el Pershing Square Signature Center en 2018 y en Broadway en el Lyceum Theatre en 2019.[8] Por su actuación, recibió nominaciones a los premios Lucille Lortel y los Drama Desk Awards.
En 2019, Hsu se unió al elenco recurrente de la serie de Amazon Prime The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel para su tercera temporada como Mei Lin.[9] Ella y el resto del elenco ganaron el Premio del Sindicato de Actores al mejor reparto de televisión en comedia. Hsu protagonizó la película independiente de 2020 Asking for It.[10]
Hsu interpretó a Joy Wang, la hija del personaje de Michelle Yeoh, y al antagonista Jobu Tupaki en la película de comedia de ciencia ficción de A24 Everything Everywhere All at Once. La película se estrenó en el 2022 en el festival South by Southwest (SXSW) con gran éxito de la crítica.[11][12] En abril de 2021, se anunció que Hsu protagonizaría la próxima película de Adele Lim.[13] En abril de 2021, se anunció que Hsu protagonizaría la próxima serie de Peacock, Poker Face, de Rian Johnson y Natasha Lyonne.[14] También aparecerá en la serie American Born Chinese de Disney+, reuniéndose nuevamente con Yeoh.[15]
