El Premio Theodore Sturgeon Memorial es un premio anual otorgado por el Centro para el Estudio de la Ciencia Ficción de la Universidad de Kansas al autor del mejor cuento de ciencia ficción publicado en inglés en el año natural previo.[1] Es la contrapartida en ficción corta al premio John W. Campbell Memorial, otorgado por la misma organización al autor de la mejor novela de ciencia ficción del año. El nombre del premio homenajea a Theodore Sturgeon, uno de los principales autores de la Edad de Oro de la ciencia ficción que destacó por su obra breve. El premio fue establecido en 1987 por sus herederos —incluyendo su viuda Jayne Sturgeon— y el entonces director del Centro para el Estudio de la Ciencia Ficción James E. Gunn.[2]
