Mutelo (el la latina mutulus signifante «kaprokapo»), estas ornama elemento de la antikva grek-romia arkitekturo konstituata de plateto kiu formas parton de la entablemento. Apartenanta al la dorika ordo, ĝi situas sub la gejsono (suba parto de la kornico), fronte al triglifoj, kies longecojn kunhavas. La mutuloj estas dismetitaj sur la triglifoj kaj la metopoj kaj korespondas supre kun la reguloj kiuj estas sub tiuj.
Laŭ Francisko Azorín mutelo estas Tipa modilono senornama ĉe la entablemento de la dorikorda konstruaĵo, kun gutoj ĉe ĝia sofito.[1] Li indikas etimologion el la greka mutilos (konko) kaj de tie la latina mutulus.[2]
