Karldýr og kvendýr skulu þau vera: Af fuglunum eftir þeirra tegund, af fénaðinum eftir hans tegund og af öllum skriðkvikindum jarðarinnar eftir þeirra tegund. Tvennt af öllu skal til þín inn ganga, til þess að það haldi lífi.
