   • 1927, Mihály Babits, chapter 6, in Halálfiai‎:

     Ó, Nelli nem ismerte a szerelmet. Némi ellenszenv, némi bámulat, némi ijedtség: egyéb érzések nem fűzték életének Don Juanjához. A szerelem ijesztő és terhes szó volt füleiben: egy frázis, mellyel szemben nem tudta kötelességét. Lelke hiszékeny volt, könnyen lehetett beugratni és megrémíteni. Tanácstalanul állt. Egyszerre egy nagy, romantikus szerelmi történet hősnőjének látta magát, s ijedten kérdezte, mit szokás ilyenkor cselekedni?

     Oh, Nelly didn’t know love. Some dislike, some awe, some fright: these were the only feelings she had for the Don Juan of her life. Love was a frightening and burdensome word in her ears: a phrase towards which she did not know her duty. Her soul was credulous, easily tricked and alarmed. She stood in a state of indecision. Suddenly she saw herself as the heroine of a great romantic love story, and asked fearfully, what was one to do at such a time?

     At the beginning of Nijolė Klingaitė’s presentation, we were presented with a brief history of the Vilnius University Library. It grew out of the library of the Academia Vilnensis Societatis Jesu, founded in 1570, which owes its material to Bishop Georgius Albinius of Vilnius and King Sigismund Augustus of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania.

     Another type of connection is when figures of a totemic or natural god, originally independent of each other, merged for some, now unidentifiable reason, e.g. in the case of conquest or political unification. This is how the Egyptian falcon-god Horus became the son of the sun-god Ra. This development, however, leads from the twilight of the Neolithic, prehistoric age [literally, “before-history age”] to the dawn of the historical age, illuminated by written records.

     Did it happen by accident? or by design? I do not know; but that room was assigned for Jason's dwelling which was next to Eutelus’ room, and when you open the inner door of which, you get into the part of the royal house which was assigned for Medea’s dwelling.

   • 1838 January 14, “Különfélék”, in Vasárnapi Újság‎, volume 5, number 195:

     
     D. Robinzon azt mondá, hogy ezen gyógy mód nem régiben történetből fedeztetett-fel. Egy macska bejárt t. i. némi kémikus mühelyébe, mit az inasok megunván, megéteték kék savval, ’s mint döglöttet félre veték. Történetből azonban egy edény alá esett, mellyből csapon víz csorgott, ’s a’ macska lassanként fel-éledett. Ezen intést haszonra forditva, már több ízben emberen is segítettek vele.

     D. Robinson said that this cure was recently discovered by accident. A cat had wandered into a chemist’s shop, and the servants, tired of it, poisoned it with prussic acid and threw it away as dead. By accident, however, it fell under a vessel, from which water dripped through a tap, and the cat slowly revived. This admonition was turned to good account and has been used to help humans on several occasions.
