A feature introduced in the General Electric "Snooz-Alarm" line of alarm clocks,[1] trademarked in 1958.[2]

  1. A button on an alarm clock which, when pressed, silences the alarm temporarily, granting a few more minutes of sleep before the alarm sounds again.
