- (sometimes intransitively with upp) to remove (natural) obstacles, to clear
- De röjde mark för huset som skulle byggas

- to (accidentally) reveal (secret) information, to betray

- Jag råkade röja basens position
- I accidentally revealed the location of the base
- (colloquial) to party hard or engage in other intense (and possibly violent) activity

Sometimes ironically of cleaning very messy rooms and the like in (sense 1).
