Borrowed from Romanian manele, plural of manea, of Turkish origin.
manele (uncountable)
Inherited from Old Polish manele (“bracelets, female jewelry worn on the wrists”). From a Romance language, probably Italian maniglia, though the first e is surprising. Compare English manacle.
