2002, The Postal Record, volume 115, page 17:So it will come as no surprise if a local inquires whether you've eaten yet — or, as Philadelphians say, "Jeet yet?"
Etymology 2
Clipping of pajeet (“an Indian”), the second part of which is derived from Hindi जीत (jīt, “victory, win”). Sense 2 likely stems from the fact Indian posters tended to shill low circulation crypto coins (or "shitcoins") in order to get anons on 4chan's /biz/ board to buy into them, only for the scammer to sell off at the first hint the coin was going for a downturn.
Noun
jeet (plural jeets)
- (Internet slang, 4chan, offensive, ethnic slur) An Indian.
