From atrāita (“widower”) + nai (“woman”). The former a borrowing from Latvian atraitne.[1]

LEL recommends using the inherited term lešknai. Alternative elative (atrāitanaistõ) and inessive (atrāitanaisõ or atrāitanais) forms are possible in type 191. This type contains one word besides nai – tuoi.
