An αντιδάνειο (antidáneio). -From medieval *τσαμπούνα (tsampoúna) for which see verb τσαμπουνίζω (tsampounízō)- borrowed from Italian zampogna (“bagpipes”), from Latin symphonia (“music, symphony”), from Ancient Greek συμφωνία (sumphōnía, “music, symphony”), already denoting "musical instrument" in Koine.[1] Doublet of συμφωνία (symfonía). Also see the medieval form τσαμπούρνα (tsampoúrna).[2]
