μύω

From Proto-Indo-European *mewH-ye-, from *mewH- (“to shut”); cognate with Latin mutus, Sanskrit मूक (muka, “mute”). Alternatively, from Proto-Indo-European *mews-ye-, from *mews- (“to shut”), and cognate with Palaic [script needed] (muš-, “to satiate oneself”), though this is semantically unconvincing.[1]
