Usage notes

  • you when using the second-person in Greek, as in many other languages, a choice must be made between using the singular or plural form of the verb. The singular is the familiar or informal form, the plural is polite and formal. The choice made depends upon the relationship between the speaker and the spoken to (see: w:T–V distinction).
