History

In the late 19th and early 20th century, Zlatar was a district capital in Varaždin County of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.

Sports

The local chapter of the HPS is HPD "Oštrc", which had 21 members in 1936 under the Josip Rauer presidency.[4] In 1937, 1 major and 9 minor expeditions were organised.[5]:252 Membership fell to 13 in 1938.[6]:224,251
