Zlatar is a town and municipality in Krapina-Zagorje County in Croatia. In the 2011 census, there were 6,096 inhabitants in the following settlements:[3]

History
In the late 19th and early 20th century, Zlatar was a district capital in Varaždin County of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
Sports
The local chapter of the HPS is HPD "Oštrc", which had 21 members in 1936 under the Josip Rauer presidency.[4] In 1937, 1 major and 9 minor expeditions were organised.[5]: 252 Membership fell to 13 in 1938.[6]: 224, 251
