Overview
The Volvo ES90 is based on the technical platform SPA2 dedicated to Volvo high-end vehicles, such as its SUV derivative EX90 or its cousin Polestar 3.[4] The Volvo ES90 has a low drag coefficient of 0.25, therefore most aerodynamic Volvo product produced.[5]
The ES90 features a dual Nvidia Drive Agx Tegra Orin configuration, providing around 508 trillion operations per second (TOPS).
The ES90 incorporates an array of sensors, including one Lidar, five radars, seven cameras, and twelve ultrasonics, along with a driver monitoring system. These systems are designed to detect obstacles and enable proactive safety measures, such as collision avoidance.[3]
Equipped with an 800V charging system, the ES90 can gain 300 km of range in 10 minutes when charged with 350 kW DC fast chargers.[5]
