Vishal Jethwa

Vishal Jethwa (born 6 July 1994) is an Indian television and film actor. He is known for portraying Akbar on Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap which aired on Sony TV,^[2] and Sunny in Mardaani 2.^[3]

Early life

Jethwa is a Gujarati.^[4] He was born to Naresh and Preeti Jethwa on 6 July 1994.^[5] He completed his graduation from Thakur College of Science and Commerce.^[6]

Career

Vishal started his acting career in 2013 by landing a lead role of Akbar on Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.^[7] In 2015, he was roped in to play Bali in Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman.^[8] In 2016, he landed an important role of a terrorist on Diya Aur Baati Hum as Chota Packet.^[9] In the same year, he bagged the role of Nasir on Peshwa Bajirao.^[10] In August 2017, he replaced actor Bhavesh Balchandani to play the role of Krishna on Chakradhari Ajay Krishna.^[11] He also has appears in Colors TV's Thapki Pyar Ki as Prince and Ghatotkacha that will air on Life OK.^[12]

In his Hindi film debut, Jethwa was cast as the main antagonist in the 2019 film Mardaani 2. His performance was well received by the critics and the audience.^[13]

In 2022, he featured in Disney+ Hotstar's medical thriller series Human alongside Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari.^[14][15] Later that year, he played the title role in Revathi's slice of life drama film, Salaam Venky, co-starring Kajol, Rajeev Khandelwal, Rahul Bose, Prakash Raj and Aahana Kumra.^[16][17]

In May 2023, Jethwa played a pivotal role in Vidyut Jammwal's IB71.^[18] He also featured as Hassan Ali, in Tiger 3.^[19]
