Valfurva (Lombard: Valforba) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 150 kilometres (93 mi) northeast of Milan and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Sondrio, in the Alps. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,725 and an area of 215.9 square kilometres (83.4 sq mi).[3]
