Uvatsky District (Russian: Ува́тский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-two in Tyumen Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Uvatsky Municipal District.[5] It is located in the northern and northeastern parts of the oblast. The area of the district is 48,320.9 square kilometers (18,656.8 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Uvat.[2] Population: 19,452 (2010 Census);[4] 19,271 (2002 Census);[7] 19,472 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Uvat accounts for 25.5% of the district's total population.[4]
