Uvatsky District

Uvatsky District (Russian: Ува́тский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-two in Tyumen Oblast, Russia.^[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Uvatsky Municipal District.^[5] It is located in the northern and northeastern parts of the oblast. The area of the district is 48,320.9 square kilometers (18,656.8 sq mi).^[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Uvat.^[2] Population: 19,452 (2010 Census);^[4] 19,271 (2002 Census);^[7] 19,472 (1989 Soviet census).^[8] The population of Uvat accounts for 25.5% of the district's total population.^[4]
