Tselinny District (Russian: Цели́нный райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the east of the krai. The area of the district is 2,882 square kilometers (1,113 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Tselinnoye.[1] Population: 16,403 (2010 Census);[3] 19,888 (2002 Census);[6] 21,297 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Tselinnoye accounts for 32.2% of the district's total population.[3]
