Torqabeh and Shandiz County

Torqabeh and Shandiz County (Persian: شهرستان طرقبه شاندیز)^[a] is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.^[4] Its capital is the city of Torqabeh.

History

After the 2006 National Census, Torqabeh District was separated from Mashhad County in the establishment of Binalud County,^[b] which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each,^[4] with the city of Torqabeh as its capital.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2011 census, the county's population was 58,483 people in 17,457 households.^[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 69,640 in 21,861 households.^[2]
