Belgian cyclist From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Toon Aerts (born 19 October 1993 in Malle) is a Belgian professional cyclo-cross and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Cyclo-cross team Team Deschacht–Group Hens–Containers Maes. Aerts is a two-time winner of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup standings (2018–19, 2019–20), and also won the men's elite race at the 2016 European Championships[2] and the 2019 Belgian National Championships.[3] His brother Thijs is also a professional cyclist.

On 18 August 2023, the UCI announced that Aerts had been found guilty of a doping violation, and was banned for two years from February 2022 to February 2024.[4] His results between January and February 2023 were also expunged.[5]
