The Last Detective^[1] (ISBN 978-1-569-47209-5) is a book written by Peter Lovesey^[2][3] and published by Soho Crime^[4] (now owned by Penguin Random House^[5]) in 1991, which later went on to win the Anthony Award for Best Novel in 1992.^[6]
