Sudesh Dhankhar

Sudesh Dhankhar is the current Second Lady of India.[1] She was previously the First Lady of West Bengal.[2][3]

Education

She completed her pre-university course, bachelor's and master's from Banasthali Vidyapith. Between 2013 and 2022, she pursued a PhD at Banasthali Vidyapith. She presented her thesis on groundwater conservation in Jhunjhunu district and was awarded the degree in 2022.[4]

As Second Lady of India, she accompanied her husband to the coronation of Charles III.[5]

Personal life

She was born on 20 July 1956. She married Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice President of India in the year 1979.[6] She has one daughter named Kamna who is married to Kartikeya Vajpayee son of late Shri Vijay Shankar Vajpayee, and Smt. Abha Vajpayee.[7][8][9]
