Suchata Chuangsri (Thai: สุชาตา ช่วงศรี; born 20 September 2003) is a Thai beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Thailand 2024[1] and represented her country at Miss Universe 2024 where she was third runner-up.[citation needed]

Born on September 20, 2003, in Phuket to Thai Chinese parents, her parents run the Homeplace Hotel in the Old Phuket Town. Opal is trilingual, speaking Thai, English, and Mandarin Chinese. She graduated with a focus on Chinese language from Triam Udom Suksa School and is currently studying Political Science, majoring in International Relations at Thammasat University.
At 16, Opal faced a health scare when she was diagnosed with a 10 cm lump in her breast. She underwent surgery to remove the non-cancerous lump. This health challenge was a turning point for Opal, inspiring her to participate in beauty pageants to raise awareness about breast cancer, the leading threat to women's health worldwide.

Suchata's modeling career started when she entered her first pageant Miss Rattanakosin in 2021. Representing Bangkok, Suchata participated and was the youngest contestant in Miss Universe Thailand 2022, where she placed second runner-up with the eventual winner being Anna Sueangam-iam. Suchata also won a special award, Miss Natural Beauty.
Again representing Bangkok, Suchata participated in Miss Universe Thailand 2024 held on July 14, 2024. At the end of the event, Suchata was crowned Miss Universe Thailand by outgoing titleholder, Anntonia Porsild. Besides the main title, Suchata was also awarded Miss Beauty and Confidence and Charming Talent.
Representing Thailand, Suchata participated in the Miss Universe 2024 competition. After arriving in Mexico for the competition, Suchata became a top favourite to win the crown. At the end of the event, Suchata placed third runner up with the eventual winner being a Danish model named Victoria Kjær Theilvig.
