Soligalichsky District

Soligalichsky District (Russian: Солига́личский райо́н) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,100 square kilometers (1,200 sq mi).^[2] Its administrative center is the town of Soligalich.^[1] Population: 7,937 (2021 Census);^[7] 10,265 (2010 Census);^[3] 12,304 (2002 Census);^[8] 14,798 (1989 Soviet census).^[9] The population of Soligalich accounts for 69.7% of the district's total population.^[3]
