Soligalichsky District (Russian: Солига́личский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,100 square kilometers (1,200 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Soligalich.[1] Population: 7,937 (2021 Census);[7] 10,265 (2010 Census);[3] 12,304 (2002 Census);[8] 14,798 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Soligalich accounts for 69.7% of the district's total population.[3]
