"Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" (Spanish pronunciation: [si ˌantes te uˌbjeɾa konoˈsido], transl. "If I Had Met You Before") is a song by Colombian singer Karol G. It was released on June 21, 2024, through Bichota Records and Interscope as the lead single from her upcoming fifth studio album.[1][2] It would later become one of the biggest hits of 2024.

On June 18, 2024, the singer announced through her social networks that she would release a new song, revealing its title, a sample of the song and the release date, scheduled for June 21.[3][4][5][6]
"Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" reflects on the idea of missed opportunities and the wonders of what could have been if she had met her love interest sooner.[7][8] Billboard called it a venture for the artist into the Merengue genre.[9] She expressed her love for the culture of Dominican Republic and their music in an Instagram post that was posted in June 2024.[9]

The music video was released along with the single on June 21, 2024.[10] The video is an ode to summer and was recorded in the Dominican Republic.[11] The video is set at a party in front of the sea and captures the festive spirit of a karaoke in a place that ends up becoming a gigantic dance party with people enjoying life and dancing on a street.[12]
In the United States, "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" debuted at 34 the Billboard Hot 100 with 11.9 million official U.S. streams along with 2,000 downloads and 4.1 million audience impressions.[13] It would peak at 32, and become her ninth number 1 hit on the Hot Latin Songs chart.[14] In other Latin song charts, it peaked atop Latin Digital Song Sales, Latin Streaming Songs, and Latin Airplay.[14]
In Canada's Canadian Hot 100, the song debuted at its peak of 82, becoming her first solo entry on the chart and joining FloyyMenor & Cris Mj’s "Gata Only" as the only Latin songs to appear on the chart in 2024. In Mexico, the song debuted at number 7, becoming her fifth top ten hit on the chart since its creation. It later peaked at number 2 on the issue dated July 6, 2024, maintaining the position for seven weeks.

It maintained stability in the top 10 until finally reaching the top spot in its twelfth week, sitting atop the chart for fifteen weeks. In Chile, the song rose atop the chart in its fourth week, becoming her longest chart-topper, with seven weeks at the top. "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" swept charts in Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia; reaching number 1 for seventeen weeks, nineteen weeks, and thirteen weeks respectively. In total, the track spent seventy weeks at number 1 on South American billboard charts alone.
