Sara Pennypacker is an American author of children's books. Her books, some of which have featured on the New York Times bestselling list, include Leeva At Last, Pax, Summer of the Gypsy Moths, the Clementine series, the Waylon series, and the Stuart books.

Pax was one of ten books making the longlist for the National Book Award for Young People's Literature in 2016.[2] It was on The New York Times bestseller list for 54 weeks,[3] reaching #1.[4]
She received a Christopher Award for Clementine's Letter and the Golden Kite Award for Pierre In Love.[5] She received Boston Globe and Horn Book awards for Clementine.[1]
