Ravang (Persian: راونگ)^{[lower-alpha 1]} is a village in, and the capital of, Karian Rural District of Karian District, Minab County, Hormozgan province, Iran.^[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,445 in 488 households, when it was in the Central District.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,800 people in 663 households.^[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,800 people in 753 households.^[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Karian District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Talang Rural District.^[4]
