Pramod Chandra Mody

Pramod Chandra Mody (born 1 September 1959) is an Indian Bureaucrat and a retired Indian Revenue Service officer of 1982 batch.[3][4] He is currently serving as Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha.[5][6] He served as Chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes from February 2019 to May 2021.[7] He had one of the longest tenures as CBDT chief.[5]

Early life and education
Pramod Chandra Mody was born on 1 September 1959 in Mumbai India. He completed his B.A degree from St Stephen's College, Delhi affiliated with Delhi University and his LLB degree from Government Law College, Mumbai and has a Diploma in Journalism from KC College of Journalism Mumbai.[8]
