Hobsch was born in Bremen;[2] he is the son of former footballer Bernd Hobsch[3] and the family moved several times during Bernd's career before settling in Schwarzenbruck (near Nuremberg).[4]
In June 2021, Hobsch signed for SpVgg Unterhaching of the Regionalliga Bayern on a free transfer.[5]
For the 2024–25 season, Hobsch moved to 1860 Munich in 3. Liga, his father also played for the club.[6]
