The station is two blocks west of the original North Vancouver railway station that was originally established for the Pacific Great Eastern Railway, later called BC Rail.[citation needed] That station was served by the Cariboo Prospector until it ceased operations on October 31, 2002.[2] The BC Rail station was deconstructed in 2013.[3]
