Nicholas Howon Park (Korean: 박호원; born December 25, 1974) is a South Korean attorney and the Chairman of the Global Board of Dentons – the world's largest global law firm.[1][2] He is also the senior managing attorney at Dentons Lee in South Korea, specializing in mergers, intellectual property, and entertainment law.[3][4]

Career

Before joining Dentons, Park worked in the Strategic Management Team of the Doosan Group and at Coudert Brothers, a U.S.-based law firm.[5] He later returned to South Korea and became co-managing partner at Lee International IP & Law Group. In 2020, this firm combined with Dentons to form Dentons Lee.[6]

Park currently oversees the Dentons Global Board, the Global Advisory Committee, and the General Assembly of the Verein as Chairman.[5][7]

Park has received several awards and recognitions for his contributions to law and business:

  • Finance Monthly M&A Lawyer of the Year (2017) for South Korea.[8]
  • Listed in Asian Legal Business (Thomson Reuters) Korea Super 30 (2022).[9]
  • Young Leader Award by Korean American Association (2020).[10]
  • Minister of Justice Award (2019) for promoting anti-hate speech initiatives.[9]
  • Minister of Health and Welfare Award (2018) for raising over $10 million for orphanages in South Korea.[9]
